Full Licence Test Preparation

Preparing for your Full Licence test is about more than simply being able to drive independently. The test looks for safe decision-making, good observation, appropriate speed and positioning, hazard awareness, and the ability to recognise and respond to developing risks.

Elite Driver Training provides focused Full Licence preparation across the Kāpiti Coast, helping drivers understand what is expected and identify any areas that need improvement before test day.

Sessions can include:

• Observation and hazard awareness
• Appropriate speed and following distance
• Positioning and lane discipline
• Intersections, roundabouts and merging
• Mirror use and effective scanning
• Identifying and responding to developing hazards
• Building confidence in unfamiliar or higher-risk situations
• Practical feedback on areas that may affect test performance

The aim is not simply to practise a test route, but to develop safe, confident driving skills that will continue beyond the test.

Training can be completed in your own vehicle or, where available, an Elite Driver Training vehicle.
